Annual Core Area Funding - BRP

2015
Measures the utilization of the city's Building Revitalization Program (BRP) designed to assist with improvements to existing buildings in the city's core areas. This measure looks at both the total amount of funds loaned out and the total number granted for projects in core.

Generally over the past several years the BRP has averaged approximately $110,000 in Eligible Porjects, 35 percent of that value which has been provided in the form of Grants. Consistent problems continue to be completing applications from start to end, as many interested parties cease involvement in the program due to difficulties associated with the current model of Maximum, Eligible, Grants, and Loans. This leasds to difficulties in measuring the program as information is only truly complete three years after the initiation of a project.

This measure allows the City to understand the effectiveness of programming in this area and the utilization of such. This tracking also increases our capacity to improve and modify this program to increase it's utilization.
